Shhh! The secret to my Avengers ;)

This blog is dedicated to my Marvel vs Capcom 3 friends.

To my friends who are not part of this, let me bring you up to speed. An internet video became a meme for our game nights that consist of Street Fighters, Mortal Kombats, and the subject of this blog, Marvel vs Capcom 3. This meme would become a battle cry amongst us, calling forth those who deem themselves worthy to engage in battle. There are only two out comes, to lye broken under the heel of another, or to stand high and bask in the sun light, drinking the succulent nectar of victory, from the very fruit we call poundcake.

We all have our chosen rosters, be them heroes, villains, or fighters, but choose them for very specific reasons. Today, I will talk about two of my teams, starting with...

TEAM SUPREME 2.0

This team extends from Marvel vs Capcom 2. In my original Team Supreme my roster consisted of Magneto, the team captain, Akuma, and Sabretooth.

Magneto was a good fit because of the consistant ground and air combos. Akuma came in second because of the constant pressure he can put on a character with his variety of supers. Sabretooth, well he was a monster and I played him like one. Consistent ground to air combos, mix ups with his Beserker Claw and his best feature of all, Birdie.  Sadly, Sabretooth would not see Marvel vs Capcom 3 so a third must be chosen.

In Team Supreme 2.0, the team didn't have the same synergy that there was in Marvel vs Capcom 2. I'm not seen playing this team very often then more than the original Team Supreme's notoriety that it has achieved and for nostalgia.

Team Supreme 2.0 still consists of Magneto, however my ability to play as Magneto has GREATLY diminished, Akuma, still a great force of pressure, and an odd choice for the team, Captain America.

Captain America would pave way for my most championing, iconic, and punishing teams yet...

The Avengers

My Avengers, are most notably referred to as "the Offenders" and very much hated.

To play as the Avengers takes some getting used to. I know that when I choose this team I am already slower and out maneuvered. I know that if every move is not precise and forward thought I run in to this.

And that's the blond haired little bastard that is my greatest nemesis in the game. Hes faster, more agile, and deals more damage in a single combo by himself in comparison. No one causes me more grief than him, and to think hes played by my twin brother.

So why do I choose the Avengers? Well I'm about to tell you why. Its not because of the amount of damage that they can deal or how much life they have in comparison to others; simply put, I choose the Avengers for what they stand for. NOTHING ELSE!

My team roster consists of Ironman, Thor, and Captain America with the title that sums up my team; Man, Myth, Legend. My roster is comprised of Marvel's greatest superheros who were brought together to protect those who could not protect themselves, and that's a team spirit that cannot be broken.

In seven days, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 will be released with even more Avengers. New teams will be forged and while Team Supreme will still loom in the background, rest assured my Avengers will always be on the front line.

So what are and why your teams?

Welcome Back!

Its been a while since any of you have heard anything out of me so time to cover some basics. I got laid off in January from Toledo Mudlogging so I sat at home for a while, lived a little, worked for Alorica for a few weeks, got called back to Toledo to work down by Mexico, however I found that out after I quite Alorica and I told them no so then I was back on unemployment only to get hired by Adecco and put over at Hill's Pet Nutrician in the Order Aquesition department. During that time my house lease was up so I moved out of it because while I had alot of good times and friends in that house it was a constant (EXPENSIVE) reminder of two painful times in my life; one, Morgan leaving and two, my daughter passing away. So I moved back in with my mom because she was having eye surgery and I felt it was time to get a few things straight and save to pay off some debt and buy a house.

So what do I do with myself now? Well, I've dedicated myself to getting back to me and making me happy, and maybe getting ahead a little bit.

I've kinda half assed picked back up on Eichi where I left off and began working final designs, character sheets, and hopefully soon, short animation runs. For those of you keepiong track on my facebook, for however rare I post about about, I started working on the timing for the promo. I'd like to think that it shouldn't be that hard, but you never know. Right now the idea is running a 30 second promo which later turned into "Oh, this would be cool" and "I should throw this in there too" and now its going to run longer and now I'm in need of music and sound effects, possibly voice overs (UGH!), stinking full on trailers. Not to mention that I've got a character rettling around in my head that I've been meaning to get to fooor, 8 maybe 9 years now. Talk about procrastination right? For my nerd community who knows what I'm talking about, think Dr. Manhattan (the Watchmen) meets Kilik (Soul Calibur) meets Dragon Blaster Skeletor (MOTU). The best part about said trailer is that is actually going to include things that I've kept under wraps for a good 9 years. Should be fun.

While I'm on the topic of my art I've been thinking about revisiting a few projects from the past and some new ones.

Last night I started rethinking my Alphabetical Who's Who in comics and thought I should relaunch it. I'm working on a character list and not sure if I want to post those once a month? Twice a month? Should I pretain mostly to comics? Or all of pop culture? If anyone wants to drop me some feed back, post or facebook me.

I have a big gamble in working on traditional style art. Theres alot of places I want to go with it but alot of what I'm not sure of. I'd lie if I didn't think about this for profit but also to grow as an artist and a person.

Commissions: Yes I'm gonna open up to working on commissioned art. I'll have more on that when I get my website set up. Thats right, but more on that .....NOW.

I'm working on designing a website thats mine and my art. Theres a few things thats gonna be on it. One, art (duh) but there will be not only pictures of my art, but also art for sale. The plan is to have items from bristol board to canvas, originals and prints, framed and unframed. Also included in my webpage will be a whole production blog. Comissions will also be there and available.

Ladies and Gentlemen, theres only 2 months left in 2011 so its time for me to get to work and make it big.
So you guys stay awesome. Love you guys.

Excelsior!!!

Pat!

P.S. Expect a blog tomorrow dedicated to all my MvC3 friends out there.
